Just came back from SYF camp today. The rehearsal schedules were really hectic.

The first two days of camp was somewhat fun. But last night, when it came to deciding who to kick out of SYF, the section leaders had a real hard time. Sir called all of us down to the canteen when the rest of the band had self-practice. We sat down and had to make the hardest decision. There are seven people in my section of which only four of us-Charlene,Cheryl,Natalie and myself will be playing for SYF.

I kicked my three juniors out. I felt very very bad and so guilty. If I could just put all of them in, I would really much like to. I had to kick them out as their tone wasn't there yet and their intonation wasn't good. Clarissa is still tentative though, she may be in.she may be out, it all depends. Tella is out. Karen, I seriously don't know what to say about her. She didn't even come for the SYF camp, her mum doesn't allow her to even bring home her instrument and on top of that, she doesn't come for band every Friday.

I feel really sorry for Tella and Clarissa. After I made the decision I couldn't face them though they didn't know till today. The both of them make the effort to come for every single practice and I can see that they really put in alot of effort but their standard isn't there yet.

Today after our last rehearsal, our president told the band who will be participating and who will not be. I couldn't help how I felt. I couldn't face them after that. I couldn't even bring myself to talk to them. After I kept my instrument together with Cheryl and Natalie, I just cried. I really wanted to explain why I cannot put them in the SYF but I didn't know how to tell them.

When we went back to the hall for reflection and the briefing, half of the band was like crying away. On the other hand, there were brave ones. To add on to the misery, they played those songs that will make us cry even more. I asked Cheryl and Natalie to explain to Tella and Clarissa first. Tella was sad but she didn't cry. Clarissa was really sad and disappointed, she cried. I creid even more after that. I am so so bad. I've got myself to blame. I am not a good section leader.

I finally pluck up my courage to explain things to them. I cried half way through. I really felt bad man. Even Natalie cried. I told them to put in even more effort and try harder because I believe that they can do it. I told them that I'm really really sorry. There will be band again tomorrow. This makes me feel even guiltier.

Top:Yu Min,Cat,Van,Me....Bottom:Ange,Mariah,Eunice. Taken at TP's library.

Went to Temasek Poly open house with Van, Cat, Ange, Yu Min, Mariah and Eunice today. The visit was really interesting. I can't wait to go to poly! Haha.

Woke up at 8 in the morning and did some homework before leaving. Met Yu Min and Ange at tampines interchange at 12pm before heading to TM's taxi stand to meet Van and Mariah. Decided to have lunch at Yoshinoya. Yu Min, Ange and myself didn't like the food there, so we went to Mos Burger to get a take-a-way instead. Eunice met us there. Went to 77th Street before going down to meet Cat at the taxi stand. She arrived only at 1.30pm.

We took bus down to TP. Reached there around at 2pm. Collected our goodie bags at the plaza area. Malina said that the goodie bag was really awful, but it wasn't as bad as she described it. Haha. The goodie bags came in blue-red, green-red and yellow-red. All of us got the blue-red one. We were asked if we wanted a tour guide to bring us around. Since we didn't know the place well, we decided to get one. Our tour guide was a year 2 engineering student. His name was Gerald. All of us wanted to go to the Business School first. We went to the 'Accountancy and Finance', 'Law and Management', 'Hospitality and Tourism Management', 'Retail Management', 'Marketing', 'Business' and 'Communications Media Management' booths. Got a few pamphlets from each of the booths and a brief about the respective courses.

Woah..the lecturers of TP are nice!! We saw Darryl David, who was one of the CMM lecturers at TP. At the CMM booth, we chatted to two ex-SACians, Annurshah and Denise. They lead us to find out more about CMM which covers journalism, radio-deejaying and other stuff. So cool! Quite fun too. For CMM, English has to be a distinction-A1 or A2.

We went to the School of Design next, followed by School of Engineering, School of Applied Science and lastly School of IT. Didn't have interest in any of them. Went to the CCA hub and OMG! TP has like all the Sports CCA. If I can get into TP in future, I would defintely join a sports CCA. Netball, Canoe-Polo, Tennis, Wakeboarding....CCA is optional in poly though but to be all-rounded, most poly pupils do take up a CCA.

Our tour guide brought us to the poly's 11-storeys library too. He said that TP was the only poly that students are allowed to make noise in. There is even a place for students to watch TV, sleep, perform etc. Gerald brought us to TP's book shop too. They even sell swimming stuff there! How cool can that be!

Malina went on Friday and she said that there were alot of cute guys there, so all of us expected to see at least some, but in the end, there wasn't any at all! Right! Oh the students at TP says that all the handsome guys and pretty ladies are at the Business School. Haha. I've yet to see so. Left TP at about 5pm.

At the bridge, all the TP students gathered to cheer and thank all of us for visiting TP. It was scary as there were like so many of them and they were all cheering so loudly. We didn't dare to walk past as it was like so embarassing, but we didn't have a choice. Haha. Took 69 back to tampines interchange, then took an MRT to Kembangan. Daddy and Mummy picked me up there.

Oh yeah! No homework today! First time since school re-opened this year.:)

Maths tuition later. Crap.. I'm having a terrible cough and running nose. Becky is the cause of it all!Uurrgghh! She spread her flu to me and I spread it to Khai Theng. The whole school got a "wonderful" lecture by the principal today. Goodness gracious! Lecture us early in the morning! wth. It spoilt our entire day. She claims that during national anthem, some of our students were fidgiting here and there, and not standing at attention. I got so pissed off when she said that ALL of us were very sloppishly dressed, in which only some of the students are.

Oh please can she like at least spare a thought for all those who make it a point to come to school neatly attired everyday! If only Sr.Cecily was still our principal. Mrs Loh is a lousy poke and she's too demanding!

Anyway, during religious ed today, we help cut patches of cloth that are to be sewed together to form a blanket..our school's bit to help the victims of the tsunami. Becky, Vera and myself worked together.Oh and today, surprisingly, Miss Juliana came in for Social Studies not with a black face. Haha. We didn't do any ss stuff, but did something which was quite cool..or should I say interesting!

Topic: "Why do students dislike Social studies?"..and in our groups,we had to think of the problem, solutions and the impact.Lol!! And we came up with lotsa funny stuff. Haha.

to becky: pay for my medical expenses which cost $28!! :) haha!

The both days of Chinese New Year was really great!! Awesome!! But two days is not enough. The government should make Friday a public holiday too. And guess what? NYGHS, Chinese High, Hwa Chong JC, RGS, RI, RJC students did not have to go to school. So unfair! hmpfh.

Our school principal should have given us a holiday too. This way, the principal herself would be happy, the teachers would be happy and most of all, the pupils would be happy. Make every one happy. No brains! Oh and not only that, we still had CCA after school!

Ok back to CNY...I am lazy to type out every single thing I did or every single visit I made. I met lotsa cute guys this new year. The lion dance guy who played the cymbals at my uncle's place, my mum's boss son's friend from ACS(I), and a few others. haha!! Anyway, came back very late for the two nights and went alot of visiting. Ate steamboat for like practically every meal. So funnnnn!

In pic: Sec 4.2!! My lovelay bona fide classmates with our form/co-form teachers.

OMG!! Today's CNY eve. Haha. School ended at 10am today. Went out with Lijun to Orchard to get accessories. Hui Ling was supposed to come along but when we called her she said she had some soccer stuff and will only be able to join us at around 3+. That will be like too late already. So we went ahead first. Decided to get dangling earrings. Went to several shops but it was either not suitable or too ex. Ya but we still got a cute and nice one eventually from Bits and Pieces, Wisma Atria. A 'yes'-'no' pair. cool! We went for lunch and then shopped around till around 3+ before going home. Bought a Surfbabes top. Muahaha.:)

At 5pm we went to grandparents house for reunion dinner. Had steamboat. Haha!!! Went to watch midnight movie after that. Jack Neo's new movie-I Do,I Do!! It was not bad. Darn funny!! Its already like 1.30am, but i will put yesterday's date.

No one had the mood to like really concentrate and study in school today. The chinese peeps had probably been suffering from 'pre-CNY' symptoms!

OMG!! I can't wait for CNY! Two days passes by really fast. And good news! We don't have much homework, except for english! Teachers wanna relax too.

Had literature test today. First question was ok but the second one was tough. Didn't really have much to write.

Band today was as usual again. Perhaps today it was just a lil more fun. Played 'Autumn Leaves'! Hadn't heard/played it for a long time-since Arts Alive, and we finally played it again! Had sectionals after that. Woah our section was high today!! We were nuts! At first, when we was told to stay in the hall to play, we dragged a damn long bench but was too short for the seven of us. When we were told to go down to practice, we went to the school field to play! Haha..OMG we were damn lame. We played in a circular which was like meant for discus if I'm not wrong. Ya, but we still continued playing our pieces. Haha. Marching after that. Our final drill before the video-ing on Friday. It was good I say.

I really can't wait for CNY!!! One more day..one more day!!!!

Had CIP-flag day this afternoon. I was slightly late. In fact, no one was early. We were supposed to meet at Parkway Parade DBS bank at 11am. Left my house at around 10.45am when I suppose to leave at 10.30am. As I thought I was really late, I took a cab. Cost me 5 bucks.

Met Yu Min, Angelia and Paulyn at McDonald's before that. Like me, almost everyone took a cab there. Haha. After we collected our tins+stickers, we went for lunch at Pasta Fresca. Vanvanvoo, Ange, Ma-riah, Cat, Min and myself.

Along the way, I asked for donations. I was like:"Excuse me,would you like to donate?". Stupid! Catherine treated all of us, so we didn't have to pay at all. How nice of her. The bill totalled up to $114.50. We were great eaters. Took 12 to Bugis.

So many schools was also doing the flag day. Moreover, it was for the same drive-Riding for the Disabled Association,Singapore. It was tough asking for donations there, so we decided to walk to Raffles City. The amount of money collected there was not bad. After that, we walked to Citilink mall followed by Suntec City. I was dead tired. My legs hurt!

Imagine from 11am-6pm. From Parkway->Katong->Siglap->Bugis->Raffles City->Citilink Mall->Suntec City->Eunos MRT->Parkway again. So tiring! After all, I collected quite a fair bit. Went back to the place to return the tins at 6pm. The two women who collected the tins from us were unreasonable. She criticised my friends! She was like:"All of you went out for so long and all you collected was only this (shakes the tin). Other students from your school stayed around this area and they came back with the tin almost full. All of you still so thick skin!". So ungratefuI. Unreasonable.

Fortunately, my remark on the list was 'very good'. She shook my tin. As it was quite heavy, she was like "not bad,not bad..very good, very good."

Suppose to go to church for YPM. There was a CNY celebration, but I didn't make it in time! Feel like crying now!

Anyway after dinner, went to Haagen Daz for an ice-cream treat from my mum again!

Woo-hoo its the weekend again. I'm amazed by how time flies. This week was really a hectic one. Had so many homework that had to be handed in immediately the following day. So many tests too.

Anyway,I've passed all my tests so far since the first test when school re-opened, to date. Hopefully I can pass the bio test we had today though it was quite tough. Band today was as usual, although it seems that time was really passing slowly. Haha.

We had an extreme gourmet in our section. Cheryl, brought this beef jerkeys. It was really dry and it had a strong stench. I ate it anyway. We forced Charlene to eat it. Charlene, Clarissa and myself found it really awful but Natalie liked it. She's got weird taste buds!

Going out to East Coast Lagoon for supper later. Having CIP at Parkway Parade tomorrow-flag day. From 11am-4.30pm.
