My journey with the band ended today. I'm having mixed feelings about it. Happy because my last day ended on a happy note. The way I had wanted my last day to be. So fulfilling. My juniors made my day. At the same time, the feeling of sadness overwhelms me. The thought of leaving my section, my horn. I can't seem to imagine myself losing that part of me. My world revolves around them.

Made that few hours in band today really worthwhile. Took section pictures too. Sentimental memories well kept. YAY! And I gave my horn a big hug at the end. Yeah its really dumb. I know that! Then came Passing Out Parade (POP). Our promotion. Everyone in my section got promoted. What an achievement. Thats really awesome! Staff seargent for me. On top of that, we were named the BEST SECTION! FRENCH HORN, the BEST SECTION! Woo hoo! And at once, I thought my ears were playing tricks on me. ahahaha. My joy! I'm so proud of my horn-ies. Really proud! The feeling is beyond description. Tears of joy overwhelmed me. The precious 60 bucks worth of Haagen-Dazs vouchers by JDH for a deserved section outing! :)

Anyway, today's daddy's birthday! We went out to celebrate.

This week has been a whole hell of a busy week. Sucked! The usual load of daily homework as usual, but I'm finally getting used to it. Its all about time management afterall. The killer was definitely the bio mock exam today. Mugged my brains out the entire week trying to revise everything I've learnt since sec3.

We were supposed to attend an accountancy & finance workshop held at temasek poly today but we were not allowed to go as we had the damn bio practical which our teacher didn't want us to miss. WTH! Wasted such a good opportunity that doesn't come by easily.

Off to Malaysia tomorrow. Sadly, I will not be able to attend the Da Vinci talk in church and an important post-commerce project meeting for the committees, all held tomorrow.

Alright, on a happier note, I have officially completed the holiday homeworks. At least I've pleased myself. :)

I am extremely delighted and satisfied too. Mediacorp has finally agreed to broadcast the Commonwealth Games from tomorrow! Woo hoo!!

Anyway, back to the same old monotous routine come monday when the new school term begins.

YAY! Dad and mum bought sis and myself new pair of blades this morning. Mum said my previous pair wasn't very good, so she asked if I wanted a new one. And the one sis had was too tight for her. So dad drove us to parkway to check out the blades. We got the one that cost 240 bucks. Nice nice nice! Tested it at the basement carpark immediately when we arrived home. I'm lovin' it! Dad said he will bring us to ECP later in the evening before dinner. ;) Woo hoooo!

I AM NOT AN INTELLECTUAL! I dislike independent learning! Our dearest parents pay for our education, in hope that we acquire broader knowledge and learning when we attend school. Our educator: TEACHERS. Meaning, teachers do their part by educating, teaching and guiding us, before they leave us on our own to explore more in-depth info on a certain topic. Job well done for most teachers. However, things don't seem to turn out the way it should be for that particular subject of ours, in the case of our class and our fellow 'class-next-door'. I'm not saying that her method of teaching is wrong. Perhaps thats her teaching style, or perhaps, thats the way she thought we might or we would have learnt and mastered better, but its definitely not the case.

Its not easy when we are being introduced to a new chapter, having absolutely no idea what its all about, and we're made to do our own research in a group and thereafter, a project, presenting to the members of the other groups and following, a TEST! UNFAIR..UNFAIR..UNFAIR! Then, most of us would probably fail as a fact. This is not Project Work but rather, a matter of learning. The most frightening thing is that we will all be sitting for national exam at the end of the year. If she's going to carry on teaching us in this manner, I doubt we will excel or even pass. We suffered in 'silence' for two years. Third year's on. The class-next-door had it feedback to the pricipal, but it seemed a futile effort. I don't know. Fortunately, I do have tuition, or else I will be in the midst of the many question marks running through my mind, without any clarifications by anyone. That would be terrible. Really terrible I guess.

On a happier note, its the start of our one week school break! Instigating my excitement. Surprisingly, we don't have to return to school for extra lessons as much as what I had expected initially. Woo hoo! However, tonnes of homework awaits literally every subject. I'll take my time anyway that I could. hah!

Melbourne Commonwealth Games 15th-26th March! TEAM SINGAPORE ALL THE WAY!

Woke up this morning with a bad headache and now I'm down with diarrohea too. Visited the toilet a total of four times in school. Couldn't concentrate during english lesson as much as I tried too. The pain kept persisting, so my maid came to bring me back home from school. Coincidentally, munei had diarrohea too, so at least I had some company at the sick bay.

It was my uncle's wedding last night. How fun! We had to sit at the reception to allocate the tables of all the guests. I did it for the first time. But at least I had something to do, or i'll be bored madness. Surprisingly, I didn't had a hard time looking for the names of the long-list of guests. Thank GOD! Had really interesting chat with everyone around our table. My uncles and aunts are jokers. Not forgetting the cousins too. I come from a family of insanos! But they're such fun! :)

I couldn't wake up this morning. Not that I couldn't, but I actually make it a habit to rise before 8am everyday. Today I rised at 10.30am and actually woke up with a headache. Everyone was out. Only my maid and I were left at home. Daddio left for an overseas trip early this morning. Didn't get a chance to see him off. Mum brought sisters for breakfast before sending the youngest one for chinese class ( without me!! ). She said she didn't wanna interupt my beauty sleep, so she bought breakfast back for me instead. Forgivable.

Picked sis up before going to grandmama's house. We stayed there till 6pm. Then my uncle brought us to the pets farm in Pasir Ris to look at those dogs! My goodness! They're such adorable creatures. Mummy said we can keep a dog when we're older as she doesn't have time to take care of it. I want a beagle. I don't mind a golden retriever too. Anyway, we went to Pasir Ris Park after that. Played at the beach while waiting for the rest to arrive. Dinner at Fisherman's village there.

to LYDIA and CARINA: for you info, i doubt the fact that i'm an underage drinker. anyway, don't make it sound as if i'm an alcoholic. :)
