Such a fantabulous birthday for those two today; Daddy and Oli.
Hard Rock Cafe for lunch with baby; haven't gone there for ages & the food there was so awesome! OMG and the portions were really huge. Hung around town before going to the Cathay to catch The Bucket List, which was indeed a very hardwarming film. Went around ice-cream-cake-hunting after our movie. Initially, we wanted to get the one at B&J's but the flavours weren't really suitable, so settled for Swensens ice-cream cake instead. Thereafter, my folks brought us out for Italian dinner! & to top the day off, cutting the cake & lotsa pictures! (:

Old Town's grand opening today. ZOMG damn fun! The place was decorated so nicely and neatly with all those flowers and bouquets from well wishers. One too many. There were more than 100 of it. Prolly 'cause Old Town's owned by celebs I guess.
Business only began at 4.30pm in the afternoon and before that, there was the VIP reception and official opening, in which we saw quite a number of local artistes. & almost all the J-Team Production people were there. Cool shits! Honestly, we were all quite excited about all the hype. OMG and first time in my life, during a grand opening of a shop, I saw the lion dance and dragon dance that also featured the "fish dance", "bird dance" and God of Fortune and Wealth! It was human-jammed-packed. On a happier note, we weren't very busy today. Camwhored quite a lot with those amigos but I don't have all of it on my phone. Oh yeah, Clarissa and Jolene popped down to visit us as well. Anyhoos, work's so complete with those bunch and it isn't a bore, totally. (:

I often see how peoples efforts don't get appreciated or even noticed.
People always seem to be so caught up in their own world, angry and vengeful, engrossed in the pointless battle to wait and hear that they are right.
It could be that we are too accustomed to forgetting to take a few steps back from our fit of pique, to maybe cross over to the other side and realize the big picture through the other persons' eyes. Nevertheless, we are all human.
I'm fucking moody, grumpy and pms-ie. Feeling damn irritated and pissed for no decent reason. Why do women have to have their fucking periods! Every single thing is pissing me off and making me so unhappy with life. Geez! & I feel bad venting my anger and frustration at baby. Sometimes it feels worse when he doesn't even blame me or scold me for it, instead he's always so patient. Urgh! Besides, I'm sick! For the third time this year.

ZOMG! THEY ARE PLAYING VIVA FOREVER BY THE SPICE GIRLS ON MTV NOW! My favourite song by the Spice Girls! I vividly remember, I was the craziest Spice Girls fan back in those primary school days! Since primary two y'know! I karoked all their songs with my sis and my cousins almost everyday & collected a lot of posters, concert vcds, cds and wacky stuf alike. Hahahaha! Okay but now, Spice Girls are like out of the scene already.
Anyhoos, off from work today. Spent the day with baby; Manhattan Fish Market for lunch, followed by Step Up 2. I love how it always rains at the right time, for them to splash about. & when the leads kiss, the extras in the background get rain water running down their faces and into their eyes, but it seems that the leads have an invisible umbrella above their head. I think the supporting dancers were disgusting though. Great hip-hop movie to catch but I prefer Step Up 1! Was the trampoline scene supposed to be cool btw?!?
OMG just now when oli and I were having our dinner at Botak Jones, saw something that really hit me hard. This really old woman who was probably in her 80s approached us, selling tissues.

Old aunty: There are so much food left on all your plates, don't you wanna finish it? Its wasted.
We: Oh its too much, we can't finish them.
& she waited for a few minutes by the side of our table. The moment we left, she took out a plastic bag and packed all our remaning food into it, which was seriously, a lot. I mean, you should know how big the proportion at Botak Jones is. But at that instant, I was thinking, how lucky I was. How lucky to have more than sufficient money and leading a more than satisfactory lifestyle. On the other hand, look at these old folks. Really sad. It really hit me hard. Oli gave her four buckaroos in which she insisted he took three packets of the tissue she sold. Pitiful.

Work has been really fun because of the people there, though it left me shagged at the end of each day, especially on weekends. & supper with the good company (nehneh, michelle, amanda, qian) after work every other time, after which michelle will always be so nice to drive all of us home. Oh yes, "scandals" going on in the cafe as well! TWO somemore! Hahaha! Uncle alex is really nice at times, he gives us a lot of extra food, like twice the amout they give to our customers. See, staff privilege y'know!
Last sunday, the usual sickening weekend rush at Old Town, again again again! Holy mother of peoples! But my family came to visit me, with my cousins, uncles and grandfolks! Was really happy to see them there okay. They ordered hell a lot, OhMyGawd!

It was a close-to-perfect day at work today. Finally, since I started work. There were much fewer customers today. Went in at 11am and they had some minor installation works going on at the cafe so there weren't any food till 1pm. Two hours free time it was. Zarzar and I decided to go food-hunting around Big Splash! Okay you seldom get this in Old Town alright. Almost never. Throughout the day, fooled around with michelle and nehneh, bugged Qian to make me toast and my favourite honey lemon juice every other time and people-watched secretly with amanda. Damn fun! I want everyday at work to be like this. Then perhaps I won't be dragging myself to work anymore. Hahaha!

It was almost crazy in Old Town today. Now I got the feel of the weekend crowd; NEVER ENDING FREE FLOW OF PEOPLE, or so I put it. Some customers can be sucha pest I swear. Full of complaints, demands and extremely impatient. & y'know its difficult to keep apologising and put on a smiley face because why, the customers are right, always right. Had my freaking lunch only at 4.30pm! OMG my legs hurts like !@#$%^&*&^%$#@ now!
Things cannot get any better, can it? Oli's going off to malaysia with his friends tonight.

Oh finally, we played my all time favourite band piece- ABBA GOLD, during practice today and we did sound good though all of us haven't played it for ages. Impromptu section and band photo-taking for our concert guest booklet created a mad frenzy. Oh well, nineteen days to 'Canossian Bands in Concert' at VCH. I can't wait for nuts!
OMG the weather these few days have been insanely fluctuating. It has been raining consecutively the past few days and then today, there you go, scorching burning sun! Having a terrible headache since noon. Popped two panadols over lunch but it seemed to be effective only for a short period. Bad bad bad.
This is gonna be a little random, but still, I must mention it; baby enjoys taking fugly unglam pictures of me and I don't like it! ):

Things ain't going right today, y'know results an all that shit stuff; passed all my modules but unsightly passes. On a happier note, baby spent the day with me and he somehow cheered me up a lot. Sigh, you know how I feel? Its like somehow, I'm everywhere, but not there yet. & I guess what I'm trying to say is that there ain't no better reason to rid yourself of apathy and just go with outcomes in life. Now, I'm gonna promise myself that I'll work really hard in year two, or else...

First day at Old Town Coffee on Monday. Nice place, but annoying customers with hell shits of complaints and demands. F&B is much worse to be in compared to an office job; Citibank, the one in which I was working at the last holiday, seriously. But on a brighter side, its no harm trying out something new. Part and parcel of life afterall and I'm just gonna take things as it comes. Thankfully, I'll not be working through the week. Probably three to four times. & I heard Old Town's really busy during the weekends.
OHMYGAWD OHMYGAWD!!! I JUST CHECKED NPAL! GUESS WHAT?!?! RESULTS ARE GONNA BE OUT TOMORROW FROM 9AM! FUCKING SERIOUS! & I THOUGHT IT WAS GONNA BE OUT ONLY TWO WEEKS FROM NOW. SHITZXZX! TOTALLY UNPREPARED!

Oli got me a new wallet from River Island today! He chose it for me and I really love it. (:
Decided on two games of bowling at marina before catching Juno in the night. Damn fun! Hahaha! My ball freaking has no power! No wait, its me! Slow & steady, but I never did hit a strike, unlike baby. Perhaps, a few spares for a consolation. ): But there were a few times when our balls when into the longkang as well. So embarassing!
OMG I just realised something, I've watched like seven movies so far this holiays, and definitely more to come. Record breaking okay! Hahaha!

Met up with the ol' school pals today! Caught up over lunch while waiting for our dearest Gwenny. The usual bitching sessions while shopping around town. Caught August Rush over at Lido thereafter. OMG AUGUST RUSH! If you appreciate a well-crafted fantasy tale that is a showcase for its young stars and its great music, then you might just like August Rush. As a real-life story, this would be preposterous. But as a fantasy ode to the spiritual qualities of music in our lives, it works beautifully. However, its ending lacked the oomph factor, somehow, it wasn't how you would want things to end off. Freddie Highmore is the most adorable and talented kid celeb around, I swear, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers is hot stuff okay! ZOMG duper hot! Made our way to Vivo for dinner and more shopping with the girls. Oli came over to join me after that. (:
Ahh, I'm so so shagged after a very long, yet awesome day out. On a happier note, I'm really looking forward to our very first band alumni practice in SAC tomorrow and for that, its perfectly okay sacrificing some sleep! WOOPEEDOO BAND BAND BAND!!! I miss my french horn and the bandits shitloads! teehee! Anticipating anticpation.

Late night msn-ing with brian and larry, and it suddenly dawned upon me how much I miss first semester days where we were all really close, hanging out very often, it was so much fun with them around with all our crazy antics. & the clique was the main reason why I enjoyed going to school.
