Our performance at Victoria Concert Hall last night was certainly one thats worth remembering. Its the most memorable experience thoughout the five years of my journey with SAC Concert Band. Everyone played well and managed to capture the interest of the audience, including percussion band, angklung band, guitar ensemble and definitely our little ones in the SACP brass band. I got messages after the performance telling me how well all of us did and how much they enjoyed themselves. :)
We left class at 9.15am. The bus left school at 9.45am. When we arrived at VCH, we were briefed on the schedule followed by lunch. Then, we got our instruments tuned up. We bummed around while the rest were having their rehearsals before we changed into our band uniform. Rehearsal for our band started at 2.45pm, followed by the preparation for the finale piece together with the other performers from percussion band, angklung and guitar. Then we had our make ups done up before dinner. Everyone had to be ready by 6.30pm. Prayer session before the concert started. The concert went on smoothly. After the entire performance ended, we saw SIR!! Our beloved ex-instructor. Everyone started crying as we didn't thought he would turn up for our concert. We were all too happy and overwhelmed with emotion that we forgot about our time. Tears flowed uncontrollably. Everyone definitely missed him alot.
I wanna thank everyone who came down to support us especially my family and my friends! Not forgetting GOD, who helped and guided us through our practices and rehearsals in preparation for this concert, listening to our prayers. He was our guidance and source of confidence during the concert and He made it such a successful one. Thanks be to GOD!! :)
