Woo hoo!! The prelims are over and done with! Oh well not the major exams though. Still, I'm gonna give myself a well-deserved break for a short while! N'level Social Studies paper next week!!!! Uurrgghh!!!!! Shitloads!

The paper ended at 9am today. Min square and myself headed to Raffles City for breakfast-lunch followed by Citilink Mall. I wanted to go to the new shop at Citilink, Surfers Girl, but it will be opening its doors only on September 1..Sigh. Went to Orchard after that. Bought the movie tickets for Wedding Crashers at Orchard Cine. Ahahahahaha! It was my first NC16 movie. Hey..now I know the differnce between NC16 movies and PG movies. Haha. Besides, NC16 movies are cooler and way way more exciting and hilarious, but still, it depends on the movie itslef. Wedding Crashers was cool! It kept everyone in the theatre laughing!

After the movie, we continued shopping. I got an Adidas and Elle Active tank top from Wisma! Yu Min and myself decided to go back to Raffles City to get that Wilson tennis visor we saw at first. My goodness!! I saw a pair of pumps that I really liked. Its pink and white in colour. I must bring mummy there and ask her to get it for me!!! It cost 99 bucks. I'm not gonna pay it myself cuz I'm like so broke!

Left town at around 5pm. Went to meet mummy at Raffles Place. Romed around Raffles Link myself while waiting for her as she finished at only 6pm. Daddy came to pick us up. Went to have some light drinks. He had some dinner stuff at a hotel, so mummy and myself dropped him before going back home. Reached home at around 7.30pm. Whee~

Two papers left!! Two papers left!! Woo-hoo! Maths paper 2 on monday and accounts paper 1 on tuesday! Getting it done for the prelims and thats it, but N'levels would be another different story. The papers I sat for so far this week was ok. I manage to breeze through it all against all odds and didn't encounter much difficulties. I felt that was God's grace! I prayed before exams and HE guided me and gave me the wisdom, strength and the ability to think and write carefully. :)) God works wonders!!!

I know by typing this entry, I'm actually inviting many strangers to come to read my blog because it is one of the hottest topic now and many people will link to this site through search engines. But who cares, what I am about to type is entirely MY OPINION and I will not beg you to agree. Just so that sensitive people would know, I AM NOT OUT TO INSULT KELVIN TAN WEI LIAN and I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST BLIND PEOPLE!

I know that many people think Project Superstar is a loserish show with all the rejects from Singapore Idol. Ever since the show started, I had very high hopes for it because well, it's C-pop and even losers know that the C-pop industry is much much bigger than E-pop in Singapore. Ask Taufik to release his album in US and you will never hear about him again. Besides, every year, the renowned Golden Melody Award Best New comer award will have a Singapore representative out of the five nominees. From Kit Chan to Tanya Chua to Stefanie Sun to JJ Lin to Ah Du. Its a glory to have Singapore singers being nominated consecutively, and so I was very eager to see the winner in this Project Superstar release his/her album in Taiwan and do us proud again.

From the start, I have already spotted Junyang. Not because of his looks but simply because he sang too well. His 'innocent' look gave people the impression that he's one good little boy and I was very pleased after reading all the information that I have dug out based on my sleuth instictions (I am not a spy girl for nothing), that he is, indeed, one true musician with good character and good academic results. Simply putting it, Junyang's a good boy!

He is an amiable gentleman who fusses over the welfare of his friends during their stayover; somewhat witty and humurous at the appropriate times; rather sentimental and is a deep thinker(I like!), which probably showed in his voice (I have a soft spot for music with think emotion); has exposed himself to public performing in various instances such as the Esplanade or street performance; has the brains for Economics and is currently majoring in Econs and doing his Honours year. Not only that, he excels in sports, plays the piano, guitar, composes songs of his own of which some has been nominated in song-writing competitions. Who else as multi-talented can we find?

Further research shocked me. He was from NHSS and to my surprise, he was from the same batch as Lin JunJie in SAJC. From analysis, they must be really really good friends. They even share possessions. The jacket and necklace JJ Lin wore in the photos once appeared on Junyang in one of his performances on TV. For some reason, this makes me even more eager to see Junyang clench the Superstar title.

And of course, God blessed him tremendously throughout the competition. His scores kept improving, breaking the highest record most of the time. Out of a total score of 50, his marks progressed from 32.5 to this Wednesday's highest ever, 44.5. Wow!

Yesterday was the results show of the last semifinals. The top male singer and the top female singer will get to compete against each other on 1st Septemberat the Indoors Stadium. His performance in the last semi-finals wasn't totally pleasing even though he broke the highest overall with a score of 44.5. He was down with a sore throat and that made his voice somewhat sounded like JJ Lin imitating Ah Du.

On Wednesday at 11pm, when the voting officially ended, I had a premonition that Junyang will be eliminated this time. He has already come this far. All the other male contestants have been eliminated except Weilian and him and everyone who has ears can tell that Junyang sings way way way better than Weilian. Everyone believes that Junyang will beat Weilian no matter what, considering his good singing skills, but I was almost certain that he would be eliminated. And of course, my instinct never failed, he got eliminated yesterday.

One thing I observed about his fans attitude, was that after Derrick was eliminated, they sort of relaxed because they considered Derrick, Junyang's greatest threat. I agree that Derrick is Junyang's greatest threat, but only in terms of singing ability and "cuteness". But well, they missed out the fact that Weilian instead, was Junyang's greatest threat in terms of the number of supporters, or rather, the number of times supporters will vote. Their slackened attitude in the end caused Junyang to lose out to Weilian.

I recognise Weilian's effort in trying to present his best on stage by swaying but shuffling left and right, and that was the best he could do. He can't connect with his audience as well as Junyang for obvious reasons. I mean, hello? This is Indoor Stadium we are talking about, we need someone who can control the whole stage and someone whose singing skill is consistently good.

What I can't come to terms with is the way Weilian's fans scold whoever disagrees with Weilian winning the best male. It was stated that whatever people say, his fans have only one thing to reply, "You have no compassion for the blind. You are biased!" Right.....Tell me, who is the one being bias? If you really want this competition to be a fair one, you shouldn't even look at Weilian as a blind man. You should see him as a normal being and judge him accordingly. And if that was so, (let's just forgo stage image), his singing skills can't even be compared to many. Strictly speaking, in terms of singing skills, he deserves only 6th in position, with Junyang, Derrick, Leon, Sugianto, Weichoong before him. Who is the bias one? Fans of Weilian are overlooking all his low marks and everything! Someone told me they voted for Weilian. I have nothing against that. But the problem is, they didn't even watch the show! Now that's the problem. When asked why they voted when they didn't even heard how well Weilian actually sung, the reply was, "Oh because he is blind. So pitiful! Everyone sympathises with him!" Hurhur. Very wei da, very wei da indeed.

Yesterday when Junyang got eliminated, he said he wanted to thank a very good friend and immediately, I thought of Lin JunJie. And of course, that guy's name is 'Wayne'. Wayne is Lin JunJie! How sweet. :) Wayne must have helped him alot in choosing songs and teaching him the proper singing techniques. And that's probably the reason why his voice somehow sounded like Lin JunJie at first and why he sang three of Lin JunJie's song. Its amazing how they show their brotherly support for one another.

It was sad to see all the finalists going up the stage to congratulate the winners, Kelvin and Kelly, while Junyang stayed alone down-stage crying, receiving comfort from his family. How insensitive and heartless some people were. At least I saw Sugianto constantly turning back to see if Junyang was ok. In the end, he couldn't take it, he went down to hug and console him. At least Junyang didn't waste his tears for him when he was eliminated.

Anyway, on a happier note, Junyang won't have to go to Universal or Play Record Company since he didn't win the title. Universal is good as there is at least a 50% chance for the winner to make it far, while getting a record with Play Record Company, which is not as well-sided as Universal music, the winner won't make it that far. If Junyang won and ended up there, he might not be able to make it far. So since he had lost, maybe he can go back to Ocean Butterfly and join JJ Lin in his music career as his junior.

Oh Junyang, maybe that's what God intends! To make you famous then make you lose and join your best friend in his company. And for now, I hope he will go back to school and study hard for his Honours, then become the Singapore singer with the highest education qualification.

I think I'm really nuts to type such a long entry defending Junyang. You can say I have nothing better to do. There is very little good that comes from talent contests - All have proven that the best man never wins, and the winners don't exactly go on to dizzy heights themselves. Let's just sit and watch. Ang Junyang is my superstar. It needs no explanation, you just need eyes to see and ears to listen!

My studies are taking a toll on me. I feel sooo sooo really exhausted and deprived of freedom in school. I doubt I have the strength and motivation to carry on anymore! School life is so restricted. Stressssssss!!!!!!!!!! If not the homeworks, it will be revision/self-study. I stop only around 10.30pm. Otherwise, earlier or later. Sigh...I dun have time to think about other stuff or the people around me, what more myself??

to everyone: sorry if i'm nastier these few days!

Sometimes, I just wonder why some people just can't mind their own business!! Its neither their problem!! Like hello?!?! Its our problem! Its really annoying!! Go round asking others about it and when they have gotten the information, they tell the others about it. Worse bums will make some stupid, unrealisic comments. I dun see the urgent necessity to ask or to tell. This is of to no offence to anyone. But anyway, I hate that SUCKY attitude!!!

to yu min: i know you are reading it. its ok girl!! no one can be trusted..i know! a worthy lesson learnt! hah! and remember i'll be there for you!

Visited the brand new National Library for the first time since it opened its doors last month. It was gigantic. There is a total of 13 storeys in the glassed-walled building. Yu Min and myself almost got lost in there! Went all the way to the 5th level only to realise that the library was at B1. Stool-pids! Lol! Walked around the entire libary to the courtyard, drama centre and all. It was an incredibly nice sight with the lush green trees in the gardens! It was quite packed as it was a school holiday. Our purpose of going there was to study for social studies. There were no seats! We walked around the entire library twice to look for freaking seats but to no avail, so we had to sit on the floor. Not exactly floor, it was carpeted. After like an hour, we finally found a sofa with a decent table. Fortunately! Studied there from 1pm till 4.30pm. :))

Happy Birthday little red dot!! Although we're not perfect, there's much for us to celebrate!

That little red dot
Is all that Singaporeans got.
We may not be a lot
But feeling inferior we will not!

Our country Singapore
A place we will adore.
We will achieve and soar
To greater heights from our fair shore.

We are proud of our garden city
Where there is peace and security.
It's a land of opportunities
There's progress and prosperity.

We have our own brand of democracy
We believe in transparency.
We practice meritocracy
There's no room for complacency.

Our Changi Airport is No.1
Our sea port is the busiest one.
We have beautiful parks of all sorts
We are also going to have integrated resorts!

Singapore is a food paradise
There are fried kway teow and chicken rice.
There are satay and laksa
Mee goreng and roti prata.

Singapore is a fun place
You'll meet people of the different race.

There's Chinatown,Little India and Kampong Glam
There are huge shopping centres to the humble pasa malams.

We may not be perfect in many ways
But we will be strong and loyal always.
Happy 40th Birthday Singapore!
May there be peace and prosperity for all.

MT O'Level results on Friday. Thinking of it makes my heart really go boop boop boop! I wonder how will I fair. Honestly speaking, I'm not strong in my chinese. I dun speak a single chinese at home.Hah! Thats a fact. I only know how to write. Yeah thats how bad my chinese is!! I better be praying hard. At least a B4 or better, a B3. A distinction would be a miracle. I dare not think that far. Hahaha!

I missed school yesterday. I was sick. Down with viral and throat infection. Sigh.. Fortunately I didn't missed too many periods. Its a slight consolation. But I studied for social studies for nothing as there was a SEQ test. I missed Bio test too.

N'Level Social Studies prelim will be on Friday too. Double burden!

Hello August.. Adios July! :)))

August will be a stressful month! Prelims prelims all the way! That means I won't be able to blog so much, but I'll try when I'm free! It will be like doing revision, and facing the four walls of my room 24/7. Nah..so exaggerated!
