Youth Mission was one heck fantabulous! An enriching and worthwhile programme. It was much more interesting compared to last year's. The facilitators were a bunch of great blokes from the mission team in Novena church. They engaged us in some really crazy activities, but we enjoyed every one of it though. The role plays were especially hilarious. The sharing session by them was really something we could all learn from. It was really heart-warming to see everyone interacting and co-operating with one another during the two days, both the 5.1's together with the 5.2's, actively participating in all the group activities and enthusiastically rushing to answer questions to garner points for our teams. At the end of it, we had a reflection session on the days since we started of as young innocent sec 1s and the memories we shared together during these years at SAC. I'd say it was very fruitful.
Lesson learnt: Life has a way of reminding us of our past, good and bad. However, all of it teaches us and helps us mature and reminds us of the inevitable and the things we have to do. To know when to do the right things at the right time. Hopefully in future, when the past revisits, it would leave us with many cherished and treasured memories. For the bad experiences we've encountered, its probably time to do something about it and close the chapter in our lives that have been previously left unwritten.
